Floyd Eugene Minor

Floyd Minor was born May 24, 1949, in Dodge City, Kansas to his late parents John Minor Jr. and Eunice Minor, passed away Tuesday October 4, 2022

Floyd married the love of his life Vickie on September 15, 1973. Together they had four children, daughter Danielle Cole (Jason Cole) and son Shaun Minor (Jamie Minor); son Victor Minor (Rikki Minor); son Kristopher Minor.

Floyd retired from the Navy after many years of service. After he retired from the Navy, he began working for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Floyd is survived by his wife and four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, Mo.

    To Ozark Memorial Park: Floyd did not retire from the Navy. He served 5 or 6 years. I was in the Army while he was in the Navy, (1968-1971). Once we were home together on leave and had our pictures taken in our respective uniforms. Floyd did retire from the U.S. Postal Service where he worked in Dodge City. I am his older brother, John W. Minor. and I live in N.W. Missouri. We grew up together on a farm in Southern Ford County, Kansas with an address of Bloom, Kansas. Thank You.
