Patricia “Patty” Lorene Miller (Sparlin), age 71, of Webb City, Missouri passed away May 8th, 2023,
following a sudden-onset battle with cancer.
Patricia was born February 28th, 1952 in Joplin, Missouri to Clarence Sr. and Ethel Sparlin (Johnson).
Patricia was the youngest daughter of seven kids. She had two older half-sisters, an older sister, and
three older brothers.
Patricia married her husband John L. Miller Sr. on April 11th, 1975. The two continued to live in the
Joplin area and recently celebrated their 48th anniversary. Together they were blessed with a daughter
and two sons. Patricia loved to spend her time baking, exploring, shopping, and spending time with
her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her husband John; daughter Christina Vann; sons John Miller Jr. (Christy) and
James Miller (Meghan); grandchildren August, Jami, Jonathan, Jordan, Caelin, Kaiba, Talon, Tenèl,
Ember; and great grandchildren Natalie, Braford, Kristopher and Magnolia.
Patricia is also survived by her siblings; Cora Blaukat, Clarence Sparlin Jr. (Wanda), Don Sparlin
(Theresa), and half-sister Georgia Hale; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Sr. and Ethel Sparlin, her stepsister Etta
Feeney, her brother Luther Sparlin, and her grandson Emi Miller.
A Celebration of Life service for Patricia will be held at Christpoint Church, 1500 E 7th, Galena,
Kansas on May 20th, 2023, at 11:00am.
