Alice Clare Hamilton

Alice C Hamilton, aged 80, passed away Wednesday May 22, 2024 at her home. She is survived by her husband Mike, daughters Marie Hamilton (Joe Stewart) Erin McKain (Curtis McKain) four grandchildren Robert, Clare, May, and William, as well as 2 sisters Mary Neuens, Theresa Addy, and one brother Tom Addy, a sister-in-law Diane Davis 2 brothers in law Ed Hamilton (Glenda) and Rich Hamilton as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She is proceeded in death by her parent Joe and Elizabeth Addy, in-laws Linn & Virginia Hamilton, and 2 sisters Barb Schwartz, and Joann Pagel.
Alice met and married Mike in Milwaukee Wisconsin and they shared almost 56 years of one heck of a life together.
Alice lit up any room she walked into. She exuded joy and always looked on the bright side of every situation. Her first love was her grandchildren, but volunteering for Wildcat Glades came in a close second. She never met a stranger, and loved talking to people to get to know them better. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Webb City. Alice loved gardening, bird watching and spoiling her pets.
Services will be Wednesday May 29th at Sacred Heart Church in Webb City at 10am.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer a donation to Wildcat Glades, or your local animal shelter be made in her name.

Alice was always prepared to share a hug and a craft idea. Her free spirit inspired me. I especially enjoyed her deep desire to let kids be kids. I will never forget the time Alice took an upset toddler & redirected her by teaching the little girl how to dig in the dirt.

Again today at a preschool program I thought to myself..”What would Alice want to do?” This happens every time I start to plan an activity for Wildcat Glades Nature Group. I miss Alice.
