
Bryan Lee Brown, age 79, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on March 22, 2025, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, following a heart procedure. Born on December 1, 1945, in Nevada, Missouri, Bryan was the son of Emmett and Waynetta Bryan Brown. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1963 and later attended the University of Missouri.
Bryan led a dynamic professional life across several industries including building, engineering, transportation, and logistics. He owned, operated, and consulted for numerous companies such as New England Log Homes, Broco Trucking and in 1985 he worked for Shearson Lehman Brothers and held series 5,6,7and 11 licenses. Then he served as an agent for Ranger Transportation Services and Landstar System, Inc. (dba Southstar Transportation), where he managed USPS Priority Mail operations nationwide from 1995 to 2001. His later ventures included consultant for Rentar Environmental Solutions where he was instrumental in getting the Rentar Fuel Catalyst certified and most recently a partner in M&B Environmental Solutions.
He was an active member of the Masonic fraternity and its appendant bodies, Bryan joined Fellowship Lodge #345 in Joplin. He was initiated into the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite and The Mystic Order of the Shrine. He dedicated much of his time to supporting their charitable efforts.
On December 27, 1974, Bryan married Myra Maddox in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives him. He is also survived by his son, Brett Brown and wife Kelly of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren—Chloe, Anna Kathryn, Claire, Benjamin, and George; step sister, Dixie Montz and husband Steve of Bella Vista, Arkansas; half brother, Tim Brown and wife Aldene of Diamond, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Michelle Lynn Keibel. A celebration of life will be held on May 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Neosho Shrine Club, 13167 Laura Lane, Neosho, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made in Bryan’s memory to the Neosho Shrine Club. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO.
