It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Poynter on March 9th, 2024, at Freeman Neosho, after a long battle with cancer. She was 42 years old.
Christine was born on April 10th, 1981, in Joplin, MO, to Tammie Cornell and Clinton Anthony Poynter. She was raised in Arthur, Illinois, and attended East Newton. Christine was employed at various places throughout her life, most recently at The Beverage Shoppe in Neosho, MO.
Christine was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Anthony Poynter, and her grandmother, Ada Poynter, as well as her grandfather, Clinton Poynter.
She is survived by her mother, Tammie Cornell; her sons, Chase Robbins, Tabyn Pyles, Michael Smith, and Hunter Jones; her sister, Tania Paulette Proctor; and her brother, Caleb Aaron Poynter. She also leaves behind her nieces Uriah McIlvain-Kidwell, Amaya Trinidad, Kendra Adams and her nephews Logan McIlvaine, Dayton McIlvaine, Samuel Trinidad, and Julian Trinidad.
A memorial service will celebrate Christine’s life on Sunday, March 17th, at 11:00 am at Living Springs in Neosho, MO. Flowers can be sent to Living Springs at 15512 Kodiak Rd, Neosho, MO, 64850. Christine will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
