Deborah JoAnn Marlier

Deborah JoAnn Marlier, 79, was born December 16, 1944 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Robert Earl Hudson and Lucinda Jane (Sells) Hudson. Deborah passed away on September 14, 2024 at Westgate of Wildwood Ranch Nursing Home, Joplin, Missouri.
Deborah was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved people. Not only did Deborah fulfill her roles as a loving Wife and a caring Mother but she dedicated her life to the full time Bible Education Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses for more than 50 years along side her husband Jeff Marlier. She was involved in the International and Branch Construction Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She also volunteered in Building Kingdom Halls in several different States.
Deborah was survived by her husband of 49 years William “Jeff” Marlier, of Carl Junction, Missouri. Her three daughters: Camille Saturley of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Sonja Edgerly of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Regina Shaw (husband Dusty) of Joplin, Missouri. Her seven Grandchildren: Steven Saturley, Andrew Saturley, Lauren Saturley, Olivia Hall, Jocelyn Walder, Nate Edgerly and Dillon Shaw. Along with ten Great- Grandchildren.
She has three surviving siblings: David Hudson (wife Sandra) of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Barbara Thurmond of Clarkston, Michigan and Mark Hudson (wife Julia) of Pittsburg, Kansas. As well as more Nieces, Nephews and Cousins than can be recounted.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucinda Hudson, her first husband Virgil Knoble; two brothers James and Matthew Hudson and two sisters Roberta Gillette and Rebecca Hudson.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4005 Parkview Drive, Pittsburg, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO.

    We sadly got the news of Deborah’s passing. Such a bright personality that made anyone talking to her feel special, with her beautiful smile. So thankful for knowing our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, as the giver of life and restoring it for our loved ones.
