Denver “Dusty” Dwight Buerge

Denver “Dusty” Buerge of Carthage, Missouri passed away on July 12, 2024. Denver was born on February 14, 1955 in Torrence California to Dwight Buerge and Barbara Buerge. Denver attended Carthage High School. After school he began his life long career in construction and drywall. Denver was the owner of Dusty’s Rentals in Carl Junction, Missouri.

Denver was a member of IUPAT DC3 203/2015 from 1998-2006. In previous years Denver was a boxer, played softball, and coached Duenweg Youth Baseball. Denver loved the outdoors, he loved  fishing, camping and hunting. He also had a love for dirt track racing.

Denver is survived by his mother Ramona Buerge, his daughter Rhiannon Houdyshell (Ronny), his son Donny Frazier (Robin),His bonus children include: Kara Mcguire, Kyle Thiessen, Sunny Lewis, Bobbie Cornell, Marcus Guinn. His siblings, Debbie Doyle (Billy), Dot Moore (Todd), Robert Buerge (Tana), John “Jay” Lucas (Peggy), Kim Osborne (Ronnie), Ansen “Andy” Lucas (Robin), Yolanda “Missie” Lucas. 18 grandchildren/bonuses, 1 great bonus grandchild. And numerous nieces and nephews. Denver is proceeded in death by,  Barbara Buerge, Dwight Buerge, Degina Buerge, Cora Buerge, Archie Buerge, Martha Jane Hughes, John Hughes, Linda Diane Shuey, AND ALL HIS ROWDY FRIENDS. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27, 2024 at 11:00 am. Location will be at Gordan and Linda Riley’s 16575 Isis Rd, Carthage, Missouri 64836 All arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO.

    Dusty and I grew up together. My brother Rick and I were always spending the night or camping with Dusty and Jay. Dusty was on our Boxing team. He was tough as a boot. Dusty was a very good friend he will definitely be missed. Much love to his family!
