Edward “Ed” Burdick, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Webb City, Saturday March 30,2024 with his wife by his side. He had been valiantly battling cancer since January 2023.
Ed was born on September 1,1955 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Robert and Juanita Burdick. He was one of 8 children. The family resided there until Robert’s passing, then relocating to Colorado. Ed attended Arvada High School. Ed came to live in Missouri with family in 1975, he met Vicki Kent shortly after, and they were married October 1st, 1976. They had one child, a daughter, Megan Nicole, born on their 10th wedding anniversary on October 1, 1986.
Ed retired from Rangeline Golf Course where he was a groundskeeper for over 20 years.
He loved playing the guitar and had accumulated quite a collection. His favorite things to do were spending time with his family. Being on the pontoon boat with his son-in-law Jesse and granddaughters Audrey and Adeline was his idea of a perfect day. He was an awesome and much-loved Papa. He was a good friend to all. He never met a stranger.
Surviving Ed are his wife of 47 years Vicki, their daughter Megan and son-in-law Jesse, and 2 granddaughters Audrey and Adeline.
A Private Memorial Service is planned.
