In true family style that my mom cherished so much, please bring your favorite entrée, side, and dessert your family loves and share an amazing lunch with all of those that she loved and that loved her. Pastor Geoff Buffalo will deliver the blessing. Following the luncheon, we will travel to the Baxter Springs cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to Buster. She requested to have some of her ashes shared with her mother and sisters that had gone before her. That will done at a later time with the immediate family.
In the song by Jimmy Scott, mom had jotted these words:
If roses grow in heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her and when she turns to smile place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day. But there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
Goodnight Mom,
I Love You
Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Memorial Crematory, Joplin, MO.
