James Fischer

Jim Fischer, 58, of Joplin, Missouri passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2023. 

He grew up in Fulton, Missouri and in high school excelled in track, wrestling and baseball. His achievements in academics (especially studio art in high school with numerous awards for his drawings and paintings) was followed by college leading to a degree in Business from Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. He had a strong work ethic; always executed with sincere professionalism. His career in various fields, such as insurance, social services, finance and sales won him numerous awards and recognition over the years. He enjoyed travel with family throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada. His love for the great outdoors was shown in his interest in wildlife and hunting. Jim courageously faced each day and chose to be known for his smile and ability to crack jokes to help brighten people’s hearts. Friends, family and loved ones will keep happy memories of him and remember his kind, gentle soul.

A visitation will be held in Joplin at Ozark Memorial Park on Thursday, January 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
