Kathy Sleep, 72, of Joplin, MO., formerly of Mason City, Iowa, passed away peacefully after a short illness on January 13, 2025 with family by her side. Survivors include her mother, Earlene Hulshizer of Williford, Arkansas, two sons Chad Sleep (Missy Sleep) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Jason Sleep (Michelle Massey) of Joplin, MO.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Dylan, Ava and Makinlei and great-grand daughter Ziva. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, & grandparents. Kathy was born December 15, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She married Bob Sleep on January 26, 1974. She had a long career in the car business in which she enjoyed every customer she worked with. Kathy was a member of The First United Presbyterian Church of Baxter Springs Kansas. She will be greatly missed by all! Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park, Joplin, MO.
