
Lonnie Dean Farris, 75, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2025. Lonnie was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on August 9, 1949 to Thelma “Woodhead” and Eldon Farris. Lonnie and Tyra (McCall) were married on February 15, 1980 in Topeka, Kansas. Lonnie retired from Hallmark Cards in Topeka, Kansas after 39 years of service.
Lonnie never met a stranger; he would strike up a conversation with people wherever he was. Lonnie loved his family and enjoyed watching his granddaughters play softball and was proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments. In his spare time he loved to travel, play cards and watch the Kansas City Chiefs football and Royals baseball, he was an avid sports fan.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Tyra of the home, 1 son, Curtis (Charlotte) Farris of Carl Junction, Missouri and 2 daughters from a previous marriage, Lori (David) church of Topeka, Kansas and Brenda (Dave) Cook of Blue springs, Missouri, 6 grandchildren and 1 brother, Ron (Margeret) Farris of Winchester, Kansas.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, twin sister, Bonnie, and brother, Tom.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice and Parkinson’s Dementia.
