Mikey Clemmer

Clarence Michael “Mikey” Clemmer, 65, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin with his loved ones by his side. Mikey was born on July 24th, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of the late Clarence and Celia Clemmer. He spent his childhood years in Kansas City, Kansas and El Dorado Springs, Missouri. His family moved to Carthage Missouri when he was a teenager, and he stayed in Carthage for the remainder of his life. His dedication and hard work led him to a fulfilling career with Innovative Industries in Carthage, Missouri.

Beyond his hard work ethic, Mikey loved going to Kellogg Lake in Carthage and hanging out with friends and fishing! Other hobbies include drawing, collecting comic books, joke telling and playing pool. He loved visiting with his loved ones. Mikey’s heart was full of love, and he was a friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his brother and lifelong best friend; Wayne Clemmer (Le Ann) of the home in Carthage, 4 sisters; Delta Birdsong, Cheryl Moore, Dorothy Wiseman, and Goldie Hutson; and many extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his sisters; Dalene Buffington, Ruth Jean Newton, Gaylyn Alsup, Rosebud Clemmer, and Peggy Clemmer, and 2 brothers; Joe Mullen and James “Jimmy” Mullen.

There will be a celebration of this wonderful life in the springtime of 2025. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO.
