Ruth Ann Myers of Reeds, MO

On the morning of Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Ruth Ann Myers entered eternal rest peacefully, with her husband Jerrold Myers by her side, in their home.

Born on January 25, 1949, in Illinois. Ruth Ann was the daughter to Ethelyn Eugenia and Bernard Michael Brogan. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John Eugene “Johnny”, Charles Leslie “Charlie”, and one sister, Patricia Christine “Trish”. Ruth is survived by two brothers, Michael & James Brogan and one sister, Barbara Brogan.

In 1995, Ruth Ann finally found the one her heart adored and married Jerrold D Myers on October 7th. She found her own form of paradise with him while living on the farm. She and Jerrold loved nothing more than making memories with their children and grandchildren.

Ruth Ann had three children, John Dethrow (Pam), Genie Blankenship (Scott), Crystal Dorsey (Darrell Jr.) She raised her children with unconditional love and acceptance. She mothered many throughout her years.

She had seven grandchildren: Felicia (Brian), Ashley (Rob), Anthony, Desiree, Jazmeen, Keesha, and Timara (Tristan). Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park Crematory of Joplin, MO
Accompanied by nine great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Andrew, Finnick, Adrianna, Adonist, Julien, Kadence, Nevaeh, and Esther. Ruth Ann deeply loved God, family, and people.

Her hobbies included gardening, spending time outdoors, caring for houseplants, and enjoying the companionship of animals. Her love for music was matched by her joy of dancing, no matter where she was.

She was a constant source of encouragement to everyone she knew and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she impacted. Ruth Ann’s celebration of life will be held on Monday March 31, 2025, at Bykota Church in Carthage, MO at 1pm, followed by a dinner for family. Her final resting place will be at Oakhill Cemetery. There will be no graveside service. In lieu of flowers, they may be sent to Bykota Church.

    I was one of those children that she mothered, yet i still dont know why she and uncle Jerrold put up with me . My fondest years growing up was when I lived with them. I love you and miss you aunt RuthAnn more than you could ever know … untill we meet again…
