NEOSHO, MO-Virginia G. Botelho
Heaven needed an Angel on Saturday, May 21, 2022, when she left behind Family and Friends at 86 years young. Virginia slipped away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and hear his words to her: “Well done, my good and faithful servant”. Virginia Grace was born January 15, 1936, to William and Florence Ryan in Cortland, NY. She was preceded in death by her two oldest of five children. Tami Botelho and David Botelho whose father was killed in the line of duty in 1961 leaving her a Veterans widow. She is survived by her three daughters: Kelli Grim (Bobby), Sherri Profeta, and Sabrina Thomas-Ward (Tom). Grandchildren: Barbara, Brandon, Benjamin, Bethany, Michael, Sara, Abigail, Kevin, Gina, Mikayla, D’Andrea, Dallas, and Dominic.
Virginia was always a free and independent spirit and not afraid to venture outside what was comfortable. As a child living in Pennsylvania, she loved going with her mother to visit her Aunt Irene and the Tyson family orchard where she would ride her pony, Daniel Webster. Later in her life when living in California she had 2 horses, an Appaloosa as big as a Clydesdale named Tizok and a blue-eyed Albino named Alfie. She really loved her horses and had the biggest heart for every dog and cat she ever met or rescued.
She was happiest when attending church, reading her Bible, and reaching out to help friends and strangers with a kind word, a prayer, or give her last few dollars to someone that had fallen on hard times. She was an enthusiastic volunteer wherever she was needed and that included the food bank because she was so thankful for the times that someone had given her a hand up when she needed a little help. At one point in her life when living in Texas she attended the Wide World of Truth Bible College and would later become an ordained Minister.
She will be missed by her children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.
