Floyd Lee Vermillion Jr. age 64 of Joplin passed away peacefully in his sleep March 7th 2024. He was born August 29th 1959 in Joplin, Mo to Floyd Lee Vermillion and Reba (Heltzel) Vermillion who preceded him in death. After attending Parkwood high school in Joplin he became a licensed electrician eventually retiring from V&S electric in Joplin. Floyd was a proud member of the local IBEW as was his father before him. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Gail Randolph Vermillion of Joplin

Floyd was also a proud grandfather to Courtney Vermillion LuJan, Keegan Vermillion, Laneaya Gilmore and Alynia Vermillion all of Joplin and A sister Lori Vermillion and stepmother Deana Vermillion both of Grove, Ok.
Floyd loved being outdoors, on a beautiful day you would find him fishing or riding his Harley Davidson in the sunshine. A celebration of life will be held at a latter date. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was a great person to talk to, he always said I was just like him when it came to fighting he said that’s where I got them hands from was from him. He always new how to make someone laugh even if the day wasn’t going good he will always be here probably not physically but spiritually he will be by all our side, he loves his family more than anything. I love you grandpa🕊️🖤
