On February 20, 2023, Roilynn “Buffy” Ross Comer, 58, entered eternal life. Roilynn was born September 17, 1964, to John L. and Marian (Scott) Ross. She attended Jasper High School and Southwest Missouri State University before completing her bachelor’s degree in early education from Missouri Southern State College.
Buffy, as she preferred, loved children and teaching. She held positions in Festus and Exeter, Missouri and at the preschool at MSSC. She also loved Jesus and felt tremendous peace from His love. She was married to Rick Comer from 1992-2008.
Buffy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, John L. Ross, and niece, Marissa Russow. She is survived by her mother, Marian Ross of Joplin, MO, sisters Nicholette Ross and Kim DeShazer (Gary) of Houston, TX, Marianna Russow of Carthage, MO, four nephews Drew Case of Washington DC, Collin Case (Abigail) of Clemson, SC, Austin Russow of Lamar, MO, Reuben Sherman of Houston, TX and extended family too numerous to name.
We would like to thank the care teams at Webb City Health and Rehabilitation Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for the extraordinary care and compassion you showed during our journey with you. For those wishing to honor Buffy’s memory, we ask for donations to the MS Society at secure.nationalmssociety.org
