Jeffrey Kent Leslie, age 65, ran into heaven on May 1, 2022, after being a quadriplegic for 40 years.
Jeff was born March 13, 1957, in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was the son of Robert E. Leslie (deceased) and Lois C. Leslie Irick (deceased).
He earned his bachelors degree in Music Education from SWOSU in 1979. Jeff taught Junior and Senior high band and choir at schools in Lomega and Tulsa, Oklahoma. A diving accident ended his teaching career in July 1982.
In 1987 he married Tami Thoms. Theirs was a 35 year love story only God could write.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Tami, son JT, sister Mary Lynn of Houston, Texas, brother Alan Leslie (Susan) of Ocala, Florida, niece Dr. Lauren Cartwright (Brian) and their children, Reese, Caleb and Piper, also from Ocala and nephew Matthew Leslie of Houston.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Frisco Church in Webb City, Missouri, Visitation from 6 to 7 PM with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joni and Friends and the Make-A-Wish foundation.
