Pamela Jean Long

Pam Long was born Pamela Jean Starchman on May 21, 1956. After the death of her mother
Lois Starchman in 1959, Pam was adopted by her maternal grandparents Gabriel and Velma
Long. She was a longtime resident of Duenweg, Mo and attended Duenweg Assembly of God.
She briefly attended the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton.
After the death of her brother Clyde, she became a ward of Jasper County. After the
destruction of Greenbriar Nursing Home during the 2011 tornado, she lived in several facilities
across southern Missouri.
She enjoyed WWF, stuffed animals, and her cats.
She passed away November 20, 2023 of chronic illness. She was predeceased by adoptive
sister Nellie Hamilton, and brothers Roy (Clifford), Clyde, Don, Dale, and Floyd. She is survived
by several cousins and their families.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Diamond Cemetery Saturday, May 4, 2024 at
2pm.
