He is survived by his significant other and best friend, Beverly and his two daughters Christina Decker (husband Don) and Kelly Staudt (husband Pete) and his four grandchildren, Tyler and Christian Decker and Lindsay and Trent Staudt.
He has lived in Joplin for most of his life. Rick was a lover of the outdoors. Hunting, and camping and fishing were his favorite hobbies. He also loved to go to car shows. He loved good music and had an extensive music collection from classical to rock and roll. He also loved woodworking and has made various things for the family. His favorite food was Mexican, or anything barbecued.
He worked as a machinist for Lozier for almost 30 years, then transferred to a new job at CNC Machine.
