Karen’s vibrant personality was larger than life itself. A tireless worker, she dedicated her days to loving and serving others, especially her beloved family. Her faith stood as a steadfast pillar, guiding her through life’s ups and downs. With a humor that could brighten the darkest of days and a stubbornness matched only by her determination, Karen was truly one-of-a-kind.

Survived by her adoring husband of 43 years, Alan, their bond epitomized true soulmates. Karen leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her children: Kyle Hall (Mary), Jared Hall (Kellie), and Lauren Ferguson (Brett), and her 12 cherished grandchildren: Sami, Dayton, Kyle, Ashlynn, Teagan, Mason, Liam, Ethan, Taliah, Ellie, Norah, and Jack.

She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Allen, of Mountain Grove, MO, sister Gene Ann O’Toole of Cheyenne, WY, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Farrell John “Pat” and Mary Patterson, and her sister, Jacklyn Ford McLean.

In celebration of Karen’s extraordinary life, a joyous celebration will be held in the coming weeks. Details will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Karen’s memory be made to the GYN Cancers Alliance – GYNCA, at 3039 S Fort Avenue, Suite A, Springfield, MO 65807. Karen’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched.
